Memento 1:05:53

By now she’s taken a look at the suit… and figured out ways to turn the situation to her advantage.

Notably Judy’s eyes rake down Scottie’s suit prior to her agreeing to spend time with him (and cautioning him that she can scream) -- and Teddy's eyes do the same on Leonard.

242:
Vertigo 1:35:09 vs.
Memento 1:06:02

She’s already got you staying with her.

In Vertigo, Judy’s rapidly made the very bold choice of allowing this (apparent) stranger gentleman into her private room.

243:
Vertigo 1:35:14 vs.
Memento 1:06:07

Let me give you the name.

244:
Vertigo 1:35:16 vs.
Memento 1:06:08

Who’s that girl, really?

245:
Vertigo 1:35:31 vs.
Memento 1:06:30

Why should you care?

246:
Vertigo 1:36:43 vs.
Memento 1:06:37

Because somebody’s dead.

247:
Vertigo 1:37:29 vs.
Memento 1:06:40

Guys are gonna come after her.

248:
Vertigo 1:37:32 vs.
Memento 1:06:44

Owes versus pays.

249:
Vertigo 1:37:35 vs.
Memento 1:06:48

Or maybe it’s the other way around…

250:
Vertigo 1:37:36 vs.
Memento 1:06:51

You for me/me against you.

251:
Vertigo 1:37:42 vs.
Memento 1:06:55

You don’t/She doesn’t know who I am.

252:
Vertigo 1:37:44 vs.
Memento 1:06:59

No ulterior motives. (Sure.)

253:
Vertigo 1:37:48 vs.
Memento 1:07:01

She knows nothing about this guy.

254:
Vertigo 1:37:59 vs.
Memento 1:07:08

When she offers, it’ll be for her own reasons.

Judy appears to talk herself into the blind date with Scottie.

255:
Vertigo 1:38:06 vs.
Memento 1:07:13

I’m going to dictate your next actions.

256:
Vertigo 1:38:07 vs.
Memento 1:07:26

Fine, I’ll do just as you say.

Scottie agrees to return for Judy in an hour, and Leonard updates the back of the Polaroid as instructed.

257:
Vertigo 1:39:19 vs.
Memento 1:07:28

Leave town.

Judy’s first instinct is to make a run for it – and Teddy, for reasons not yet known to us, is trying to get Leonard to leave the area.

258:
Vertigo 1:40:11 vs.
Memento 1:07:32

Wondering -- specifically about this man, if they see him again.

259:
Vertigo 1:40:31 vs.
Memento 1:07:41

How the (former) blonde got the suit.

260:
Vertigo 1:40:47 vs.
Memento 1:07:44

The wife’s death.

261:
Vertigo 1:40:55 vs.
Memento 1:07:56

You didn’t/don’t have a clue.

262:
Vertigo 1:41:00 vs.
Memento 1:07:58

This main character is making a mistake.

263:
Vertigo 1:41:06 vs.
Memento 1:08:04

This is still who I am.

264:
Vertigo 1:41:18 vs.
Memento 1:08:07

To forget/remember the past.

265:
Vertigo 1:42:02 vs.
Memento 1:08:23

When were you wearing designer suits?

Judy is swift to hide her own unusual designer suit in the back of the closet…

There’s a gap while Judy attends dinner with Scottie and watches him gaze longingly at a blonde woman in a gray suit; after this he escorts her back to her room in the hotel.
266:
Vertigo 1:44:01 vs.
Memento 1:08:38

Don’t go back there.

267:
Vertigo 1:44:03 vs.
Memento 1:08:41

But what will they live on/in?

268:
Vertigo 1:44:10 vs.
Memento 1:08:46

The polite kiss-off.

269:
Vertigo 1:44:13 vs.
Memento 1:09:26

No, she didn’t understand me.

270:
Vertigo 1:44:18 vs.
Memento 1:09:34

I’ve got more to worry about in this situation than the superficial objections…

271:
Vertigo 1:44:33 vs.
Memento 1:09:43

Who is this?!

272:
Vertigo 1:44:40 vs.
Memento 1:10:10

That’s not very nice.

Note the hair on both women half pulled up, and them facing toward screen left with light from the window behind them falling onto them.

273:
Vertigo 1:44:50 vs.
Memento 1:10:16

That’s not very nice, part 2.

274:
Vertigo 1:45:10 vs.
Memento 1:10:20

You told me to give them an excuse.

There’s a gap in Vertigo for some pseudo-domestic bliss of walking in a beautiful park together, going dancing, and Scottie buying Judy a corsage from a street vendor.
275:
Vertigo 1:47:14 vs.
Memento 1:10:57

The woman did exactly as you told her.

Notice that Natalie’s dressed in a dark top similar to the saleswoman – and she and Leonard are seated side by side on the couch as Judy and Scottie are.

276:
Vertigo 1:47:24 vs.
Memento 1:11:17

The gentleman knew better.

277:
Vertigo 1:47:28 vs.
Memento 1:11:22

We’ll (just have to) find it.

278:
Vertigo 1:47:37 vs.
Memento 1:11:33

What are you doing? she asks him.

It was right here where I noticed the brown of Judy's blouse matches the brown of the couch, and the white of the paper towel in Natalie's hands matches the burst of white ribbon of Judy's corsage.

279:
Vertigo 1:47:38 vs.
Memento 1:11:36

I’m in control of the situation; I’ll handle it.

280:
Vertigo 1:47:39 vs.
Memento 1:11:40

You’re going about it the wrong way.
